The project investigates the quantity of park space in Dallas, both as a whole and by council district.  The outcome being an unbiased survey of one of our city's most valuable assets... quality open space.

 

Combining the 14 Council Districts of Dallas into 7 frames, allows for visualization of the total area of parks iwthin each district.  Each frame represents 2 council districtis and highlights the percentage of park space to total area within each.  This percentage, represented by the suspended airplants, varies greatly from district to disctrict and allows for the quantity of air plants to intensify as the viewer peers through the installation.  Currently Dallas is 7% parks space.
